So I hope this year will be a year of finishing unfinished objects. As I mentioned in my last post there are several projects on hold which I plan to complete little by little this year. For sure I will cast on new projects anyway 🙂 My first finished project in 2018 is this beautiful hooded Cardigan called Lucia by Carrie Bostick Hoge. I started it back in October 2017 when I was in Denmark with my mother. It seemed like a perfect no fuss, easy to knit cardigan wich has the potential to become a favorite piece of clothing.
As I wanted a tweedy look I chose Lana Grossa Ascot. This yarn comes in many beautiful colors and can be purchased for a fairly reasonable price. The downside of this yarn is that it is not 100 % natural. There are 25 % of rayon/viscose in it. Nevertheless I am quite happy with Lana Grossa Ascot. It feels nice and doesn’t scratch.
To knit this cardigan was a real pleasure, it was almost no no brainer and perfect for watching my favourite TV series or listening to an audiobook besides. I love how the pockets are inserted in the body. Before knitting it that way I couldn’t imagine how this is done. I adore the simple and comfy look of the cardigan and it has indeed become a favorite piece of my wardrobe already.
